‘Jugaad’ is a mind-set that is embodied by thousands of entrepreneurs in emerging markets like India, Africa, Brazil, and China. They were able to innovate in very difficult conditions. There are very limited resources, and yet they tap into the ingenuity to create affordable and sustainable solutions that bring more value at less cost for the fellow citizens. In the west because of lack of resources we recommend and advise western companies to adopt this Jugaad mind-set to create more value and less cost for western consumers as well. So, encouraging oneself to look at the idea of Jugaad Innovation and how it can be applied in the company to create more value at less cost for all stakeholders.
